The Emoji Movie

This vibrant animated adventure features the secret life of a mobile phone, or rather as its title suggests, the colourful little digital expressions that lurk within. The phone belongs to lonely teen Alex (Jake T. Austin) who channels anxieties about meeting girls into flurries of texting. His phone’s emojis, the imagined citizens of Textopolis are each of them anxious to be chosen by their user.

However, one of them, Gene (Miller), has problems: unlike his colleagues, he is able to show multiple expressions. Desperate to be the same as everyone else, he enlists the help of Hi-5 (Corden) and Jailbreak (Faris) and goes on a frantic, fantastic voyage through the app-world beyond Textopolis whilst all the time being threatened by a frustrated Alex who might at any moment delete his texting app.
