When a suburban Avon lady attempts one last stop to sell her products, she wanders up to a mansion on top of a hill.

There, she finds Edward: completely alone, sweetly bizarre, and with a pair of scissors for hands.

Peg takes pity on the gentle boy, and decides to bring him back to stay with her family – where his surprising skillset soon takes him from an outcast to a local celebrity.
