“How's that for a slice of fried gold?”

Welcome to Harbour Highlights, a series of monthly screenings showcasing cult and classic films, all handpicked by the staff of Harbour Lights.

This Easter Sunday, Emily invites you to swap eggs for something even sweeter – a triple-bill of Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy.

Starting with 2004’s Shaun of the Dead and continuing with 2007’s Hot Fuzz and 2013’s The World’s End. The trilogy saw Wright and co-writer/star Simon Pegg (along with co-star Nick Frost) graduate from TV favourites to film royalty, creating a trilogy of comedy classics along the way.

Ranging from zombie horror (technically a zom-rom-com), action movies and apocalyptic sci-fi, the three films mixed loving genre homages with some of the sharpest comedy scripts of the decade, attracting actors such as Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman, Rafe Spall and Paddy Considine to their impressive ensemble casts.

Endlessly quotable with great soundtracks and Wright’s hyperkinetic cinematic style, don’t miss your chance to see all three back to back as they should be viewed – with an appreciative audience on the big screen.
