Shot in the midst of Ukraine's independence demonstrations in 1990, this remarkable, rarely-seen film mixes social-realism, absurdist comedy and folkloric horror in the tale of two brothers who encounter a monstrous darkness when moving to Kyiv to seek their fortunes.

The film will be introduced with a short set of music from Ukrainian musicians Karina and Kristina Avalan.
