Mother Land tells the story of a young girl named Krisha , who lives with her family in Yates Village and participates in traditions handed down by her ancestors. When her mother falls sick, Krisha goes on an adventure in search of a legendary forest that contains the cure to her mother's illness. This is the tale of mother nature's slow destruction and loss of healing, and of the young girl who hears nature's call and comes to save the world. The film thoughtfully depicts the great power of life in the natural world and the value of inheriting the "mother's land," which has been protecting all life since ancient times. Mother Land is the first feature stop-motion animation produced in Korea 45 years after Kongjwi and Patjwi (1977).
