Fast-talking, quick-thinking, brash Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) has bent more than a few rules in his time.

But when his childhood friend Mikey winds up murdered after crossing the wrong people on a trip to LA, Axel takes up the investigation of the case – leading him to the very different world of Beverly Hills.
