A young bear (Ben Whishaw) leaves the Peruvian rainforest to make a new home for himself in a place he's always dreamed of: London. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he meets the kindly Brown family, who offer him a temporary haven.

But someone else has an eye on him: sadistic museum taxidermist Millicent Clyde (Nicole Kidman) has designs on the rare bear and his hide.
