Set in the Scottish Highlands, feisty Merida (Kelly Macdonald), daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), doesn’t want to follow the traditional path in life for a princess.

Her struggles for independence lead her to make a catastrophic mistake when a witch grants her a wish which turns into a curse, a curse which threatens the happiness of her family and the kingdom itself.

Brave (2012) explores the love, relationships and struggles between mothers and daughters, and one princess’s fight for freedom.
