This event will shine a light on Sickle Cell Warriors and raise the communities understanding of Sickle Cell disease.
We are promoting a wider action which is encouraging more young Black people to give blood.

Poetic Unity is a Brixton based charity that provides support and services for children and young people aged 10-30 years old across the UK. Their vision is to help young people find their voice, feel valued in society and to empower them to reach their highest potential. They use poetry as a tool to support young people's mental health, education, personal development, physical health, and community cohesion.

ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust) is a charity committed to helping provide hope to patients living with blood cancer & other illnesses (sickle cell, kidney failure) where a matched donor (stem cell, blood, and organ) is required to save a life.
Their work is driven by a belief that no one should die waiting for a donor to become available. Through their work, they improve odds of finding matches by registering potential donors en masse from all ethnicities, with a focus on donors from the African and Caribbean communities due to the extreme shortages of potential donors signed up to the registries.
