#ClimateScam? - With increasingly devastating climate disasters all over the news, why do so many people believe that the climate crisis is a hoax? Join Jaz, a social media savvy member of the TikTok generation, as she explores a web of misinformation that could threaten efforts to tackle the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. Climate Anxiety - As the climate crisis unfolds, young people fear for their future. In this short film young people, parents and professionals discuss their experiences of climate anxiety and how they deal with it. A Cambridge Moviemakers film directed by John Yates. 

Both films explore the impact of the climate crisis on our young people offering fresh, diverse and solutions-based perspectives that you won't have seen before.  


PANELISTS

Daze Aghaji
Daze Aghaji is a Environmental Activist, Strategist, and Creative committed to creating systemic change. As a founding member of Extinction Rebellion Youth, Daze played a pivotal role in the 2019 London occupation, where XR shut down central sites and helped prompt the UK government to declare a climate emergency. Daze’s legal work also led to a landmark judicial review that resulted in the UK government releasing its first Net Zero Strategy. Formerly the Creative Director of Earthrise Studio, Daze helped the media company build a following of over three million people on various social media platforms, using its reach to educate on the environmental crisis and inspire action. Most recently co-founding Hard Art, Daze is passionate about using creativity and collaboration to disrupt the status quo and drive real climate action. Through her consultancy, she helps organisations connect with nature and build the cultural foundations necessary for meaningful climate action. She is a trustee of Boundless Theatre, The British Pilgrimage Trust, and Blagrave Trust.


Samia Dumbuya
Samia Dumbuya is a passionate advocate for climate justice and community-led environmental solutions. With a background in geography and environmental science, and a current student studying MSc Sustainable Resources: Economics, Policy and Transitions at UCL, she is working to create accessible green skills hubs and engage marginalised communities in climate action.

Samia is also a Fellow with Mercedes-Benz: The DO School, where she supports youth-led climate initiatives. Her work centers on amplifying underrepresented voices in climate education and policy spaces, particularly those of young people and marginalised communities. Samia’s approach blends education, creativity, and grassroots activism to foster a just transition to a sustainable future. She was also a UK youth delegate at COP29, where she advocated for formalised youth inclusion mechanisms in climate policy and decision-making.


Jenny Edwards
District Councillor Mid Sussex - Green Party - fighting to protect biodiversity from inappropriate development and climate and ecological pressures.

Dark Matter - An inclusive marketing agency that connects Black audiences with culture and the arts.


Green Screen is a community-led space to discuss environmentally-focused cinema, with expert panels and friendly post-screening discussions. Everyone is welcome to 'continue the conversation' after the film in your cinema's meeting space where you can enjoy a free tea or filter coffee when you bring a keep cup!
