Get ready for an electrifying afternoon celebrating activism, poetry, and performance! Revolution at the Ritzy brings you films honoring legendary activists Dennis Gould and Bill Boakes, plus the raw energy of the iconic stand-up poetry club Bang Said the Gun.

Live Performance: The inimitable Elvis McGonagall will be delivering his sharp, satirical stand-up, alongside Picturehouse’s own Harry Evans, who will present, perform, and host the Q&A.

The Last Cuckoo—Mark Chaudoir’s heartfelt documentary on Stroud poet and activist Dennis Gould, celebrating his spirit, art, and love of life.
Bang Said the Gun—A rare screening of Chaudoir’s dynamic 30-minute film on the raucous, rebellious poetry club, featuring Kae Tempest, Polar Bear, Emma Jones, Rob Auton, and more.
An Eagle-Eyed Marxist—UK Premiere directed by Tim Block. The inspiring story of Bill Boakes, a lifelong political fighter who never gave up on his dream of a better world.
