Wine Dark Short Film Festival 20 September 2026, Finsbury Park Picturehouse Cinema An international celebration of disability, neurodiversity and mental health. The Wine Dark Short Film Festival, in partnership with Finsbury Park Picturehouse Cinema, London, is delighted to be returning for its third year. The 2026 edition will be taking place on 20 September. Now a much-anticipated celebration of narrative & documentary short filmmaking made by D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent teams, the festival is the first of its kind in London. This year, 17 films by UK-based and international filmmakers will be showcased, inviting audiences to their exceptional selection of diverse films. There will also be a neurodivergent-friendly networking session, and a panel Q&A with film industry experts that will be announced in due course. In all classic stories, the hero must respond to the call to adventure. Our heroes cross the threshold into unknown worlds and uncharted territories, facing their deepest fears with equal parts lightness and conviction. Will they make it through unscathed, or does adventure make one forever changed?
