The Sir John Hurt Film Trust is proud to present a compilation of films from the East Anglian Film Archive especially for Heritage Open Days. The films give an overview of Norwich in the 1950s, going from the effects of WW2 through key events like the Festival of Britain, and then looking ahead to a new decade and continued modernisation of the city. The archival footage includes Queen Elizabeth II arriving at City Hall and a circus parading elephants along Gentleman's Walk. (Image credit: NCC and EAFA)
