48 Hour Film Project Brighton Showcase
N/A 150 mins
The 48 Hour Film Project is a global filmmaking competition involving more than 5000 participants in over 120 countries annually - and this year it’s coming to Brighton for the first time ever!
After being assigned a genre, a line of dialog, a prop and a character, teams have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their masterpiece - and all films will be shown on the big screen at the famous Duke of York’s Picturehouse cinema.
As well as local prizes and audience awards, teams will compete to represent their city at Filmapalooza in Los Angeles.
The top ten films globally will be screened at Cannes as part of the Short Corner Programme.
It’s the world’s most fun, creative and democratic filmmaking competition.
Whether you’re a student filmmaker, a cinephile, an old hack or a Hollywood legend - everyone is invited to gear up and go for it.
