Duke's After Dark: Blow Out

The Duke’s After Dark team are celebrating liberty from an early night with one of Brian De Palma’s many masterpieces, the bleak and cynical, ‘Blow Out’.

Coppola’s ‘The Conversation’ is taken and twisted into an even more damning criticism of the United States Government, as John Travolta’s Terry, a sound engineer, is dragged from his world of B movie production into a real life mystery, packed full of covert agents, cover ups and killers.

A stellar example of De Palma’s style, a perfect successor to the 70’s political conspiracy genre and Travolta’s second best performance (after Hairspray). Keep your eyes peeled for those split-diopters!
