Epsom Picturehouse is proud to present the first ever Green Screen / World Earth Day festival. 

The event is made up of 2 separate screenings. 

6pm - The Woodland Trust presents The Nettle Dress (68m 12A) with live panel including Dir. Dylan Howitt.
After the death of his beloved wife, textile artist Allan Brown begins a seven-year endeavour to weave a hand-spun dress from stinging nettles foraged in the woods surrounding his home.
All are invited to 'continue the conversation' in the upstairs bar and if you have a keep cup will be eligible for a free tea or filter coffee at this time.   

8pm - Escape from Extinction (90m 12A) + Pre-recorded Q&A with Dir. Matthew Brady (15m)
The documentary delves into "rewilding," a conservation approach that aims to restore natural ecosystems and increase biodiversity by minimizing human impact, highlighting its significance in ensuring sustainable conservation

Stalls from local groups will be available to visit throughout the day, these include; The Woodland trust, etc.... 

Green Screen is a community-led space to discuss environmentally-focused cinema, with expert panels and friendly post-screening discussions.
