Happy first birthday, Chester Picturehouse! To commemorate one year of our cinema’s doors being open, we’re bringing our big design inspiration – Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel – back to our screens for a special celebration. Tickets are only £1.

At the opulent Grand Budapest Hotel in the early 20th century, peerless concierge M. Gustave (Ralph Fiennes) finds himself swept up in the battle for an enormous family fortune – and subsequently framed for murder – when one of his frequent guests dies.

Assisted by his young, inexperienced protege Zero (Tony Revolori), who becomes a trusted friend, Gustave attempts to prove his innocence while political tumult transforms the old-world splendour of the Europe he calls home.
